«СИНІЙ ТУШКАНЧИК»: ВХОДЖЕННЯ ФРАНЦІЇ ДО ЯДЕРНОГО КЛУБУ

This work is devoted to the history of France's entry into the nuclear club, as well as the role of the “nuclear factor” in the formation of the main geopolitical strategy of this country. The history of scientific research in the relevant field is analyzed in detail, as well as the consistent transformation of the attitude of interested circles to the use of discoveries and experimental achievements. The emphasis is on the political situation and the position of key political figures, primarily Charles de Gaulle; Special attention is paid to his understanding of the geopolitical picture and the place that the French Republic can occupy in it. The current state of affairs and the role of the French “nuclear element” in the international security system are also discussed in a separate paragraph.
