Abstract

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) plays a crucial role in advancing digital development by facilitating technology transfer, innovation diffusion, and the integration of economies into global digital value chains. Through FDI, countries gain access to advanced digital infrastructure, managerial expertise, and international business networks that accelerate the digital transformation of industries and public services. In developing and transition economies, FDI often serves as a catalyst for upgrading ICT sectors, supporting start-up ecosystems, and fostering digital skills among the labor force.
