Abstract

The problems of using small unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and the possibility of their detection using acoustic methods are considered. It was determined that the growing popularity of UAVs led to their widespread use in various industries, but at the same time, problems related to their unauthorized use arose. The paper considers methods of sound signal processing and defines the limitations of traditional approaches developed for speech recognition when detecting acoustic noises from small UAVs. Particular attention is paid to the selection and analysis of features for effective recognition, as well as the importance of developing adaptive algorithms and applying machine learning methods to improve the accuracy and reliability of small UAV detection systems.
